Happy Monday!
=E2=80=9CYou have brains in your head. You have =
feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You=
‘re on your own, and you know what you know. And you are the guy who’ll dec=
ide where to go.=E2=80=9D – Dr. Seuss
One of my favorite resources today is the GPS. L=
ong gone are the days of road maps and atlases (sorry Rand-McNally!). I can=
type any address into my phone and the route is automatically calculated f=
or me. Turn by turn, it will get me there. That is, as long as I=E2=80=99ve=
got the address right. It will only take me in the direction of what I ent=
ered as the ultimate destination. I won=E2=80=99t get to California if I en=
ter a Florida address.
Jesus says in John 10:10, =E2=80=9CThe thief com=
es only to steal and kill and destroy; I came that they may have life, and =
have it abundantly.=E2=80=9D
Real life. Life filled with joy, peace, and sati=
sfaction for the soul. Life to the fullest! Lots of folks want that, but th=
ey=E2=80=99ve typed in the wrong address to get there. They=E2=80=99ve type=
d in the address for comfort or success, popularity or pleasure. They=E2=80=
=99ve tried to navigate the road on their own, plotting their course, and t=
hen seem confused when they wind up in a place where that abundant life is =
nowhere to be found.
If you want the path to lead to ultimate satisfa=
ction for the soul, there is only one address to type into your life=E2=80=
=99s GPS: Jesus. Let Him be your destination and direction. Follow His voic=
e, turn by turn, and He=E2=80=99ll get you to that place of true life. You =
alone make the choice of what address you=E2=80=99ll plug in. Choose wisely=
.
Have a great week my friends!
